St. Olaf TRIO Educational Talent Search (ETS) Mentoring Program
\n<\/strong>Since 1993, the St. Olaf TRIO Educational Talent Search (ETS) program<\/a> has coordinated mentoring programs which offer 200 + St. Olaf students the opportunity to develop mentoring relationships with nearly 400 inner-city, multicultural students in grades 6-9.<\/p>\n

St. Olaf TRIO Upward Bound (UB) Tutoring and Summer Program
\n<\/strong>TRIO Upward Bound is a federally-funded TRIO program designed to help high school students get to college by providing academic and personal support and guidance. St. Olaf College Upward Bound students are from families below 150% of poverty and would be the first generation in their family to attend college. St. Olaf TRIO Upward Bound<\/a> has been hosted by the College since 1989.<\/p>\n

Breakthrough Twin Cities
\n<\/strong>Breakthrough Twin Cities<\/a> is a six-year, tuition-free academic enrichment and college preparatory program that helps under-resourced students prepare for college success. Their goal is to identify young people who are in need of and who will take full advantage of the support that the program offers. Breakthrough\u2019s highly rated Teaching Fellowship takes place every summer. With its \u201call-day, every day\u201d nine week commitment, Breakthrough\u2019s trademark summer Teaching Fellowship is very intense. It is a lifestyle more than a job \u2026 an unmatched opportunity to have a real impact on students. Fellows teach two core courses, plan field trips and special events, and participate in parent conferences.<\/p>\n

Breakthrough Minneapolis at Blake<\/strong><\/p>\n

Breakthrough Minneapolis at Blake is an educational enrichment program that prepares a\u00a0diverse\u00a0group of motivated and\u00a0high-potential students from Minneapolis Public Schools starting in the summer before 7th grade. Through rigorous, student-centered and culturally responsive academic programming and exposure to a college-going culture, students are prepared to successfully navigate through middle and high school with the goal of entering into and completing a post-secondary program aligned to their career goals. Breakthrough Minneapolis at Blake (formerly LearningWorks) began over 20 years ago in partnership with Minneapolis Public Schools to address the complex factors that contribute to the opportunity gaps faced by students who are historically underrepresented in post-secondary programs (e.g. college, trade school). Breakthrough Minneapolis facilitates this by providing up to six years of tuition-free support, academic enrichment and social emotional development programming for students starting in 7th grade.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
