These experiences are integral components to the St. Olaf College Teacher Education Program and provide an opportunity to apply educational theory to real-world settings. Students are required to complete a minimum of 120 hours of field experience, 60 hours of which must be in a diverse setting.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/wp.stolaf.edu\/education\/fehandbook\/\">Field Experience Handbook<\/a>. This handbook outlines the field experience expectations for students and host teachers.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.applitrack.com\/nfld\/StartForm.aspx?id=-495251393571\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Northfield Background Check Form\u00a0<\/a> This background check form goes directly to the Northfield School District and must be submitted before assisting in a school. For all other schools or districts, please follow the directions on the sign-up form and with your host.<\/li>\n<li>Confirming Your Placement via Google form so that it is entered into SLL.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1ivMNephzOsYXdzkAXyVlDuP-aYJ5ofJ0\/edit?usp=sharing&amp;ouid=101985334283436900927&amp;rtpof=true&amp;sd=true\">Field Experience Program Calendar Fall 2025<\/a><\/li>\n<li>You will be asked to enter your hours in SLL, after you receive training, to document your field experience.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/wp.stolaf.edu\/education\/files\/2013\/03\/Field-Experience-Student-Information-Sheet_LINES.doc\">Field Experience Student Information Form<\/a>.
