Here are the steps once you&#8217;ve purchased your account, logged in, and changed your password.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Click on the <strong>Applications <\/strong>tab at the top of the page.<\/li>\n<li>On the left hand navigation bar, click on <strong>Create.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>On the right hand drop-down box, choose &#8220;Field\u00a0Experience\u00a0Confirmation\u00a0Form<em> Semester Year<\/em>&#8220;<\/li>\n<li>Complete the form &#8212; <strong>do ONE form for each course and each host teacher.<\/strong> If you are taking more than one course (or are doing a field experience with more than one teacher), we&#8217;d like you to do TWO applications even if you are using the same\u00a0field\u00a0experience\u00a0for both courses.<\/li>\n<li>For the<strong> table<\/strong> you complete about your\u00a0field\u00a0experience\u00a0days and times, you are to fill out the days of the week and times each week that you are in the schools.\n<ol>\n<li>So, &#8220;Days of\u00a0Field\u00a0Experience&#8221; should be the day(s) of the week you are there.<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;Start Time&#8221; and &#8220;End Time&#8221; should be the time you get there to the time you leave.<\/li>\n<li>You can click &#8220;add new&#8221; to add a row. You can add more rows than 1 if you need to.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>When you are done, <strong>click on SUBMIT<\/strong>, and that will send it to Sue. You can also SAVE it if you need to work on it at a later date. Remember that SAVE will not submit it to Sue.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2 class=\"gold\"><a id=\"teachapp\" name=\"teachapp\"><\/a>For Students: Applying to the Teacher Education Program<\/h2>\n<p>In order to pursue a teaching license at St. Olaf College, you must first be admitted to the Teacher Education program. This is generall completed while you are enrolled in ED 290.\u00a0Here are the steps once you&#8217;ve purchased your account, logged in, and changed your password.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Click on the <strong>Applications <\/strong>tab at the top of the page.<\/li>\n<li>On the left hand navigation bar, click on <strong>Create.\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Select the application type <strong>Teacher Education Application &#8212; Part 1.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Complete all fields in this application.\n<ol>\n<li>You will be asked to upload a <strong>Personal Statement<\/strong>. Please answer the questions listed in Tk20 in a 1-2 page, double-spaced word document to upload.<\/li>\n<li>Assess yourself on the Dispositions &#8212; please answer honestly; we are looking for reflective students who accurately assess their strengths and weakesses. Only choose &#8220;3&#8221; if that is really your area of strength.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>When you are done, <strong>click on SUBMIT <\/strong>and you will be ready for your meetings with faculty. You can also SAVE it if you need to work on it at a later date. Remember that SAVE will not submit it.<\/li>\n<li>After completing Part 1, you will need to <strong>meet with Content Faculty<\/strong> (that list is in Tk20 at the bottom of the application). Once you&#8217;ve met with that faculty member, call (x3245) to make an appointment with an Education Faculty member to complete Part 2; allow 45 minutes. If your Content Faculty is the same as the Education Department Faculty member, you will only need to meet once. <strong>You should bring any course schedule you planned with your Content Faculty member to the meeting with the Education Department faculty member.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>ALL parts of this application process MUST be completed by the deadline outlined in the Education Calendar.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2 class=\"gold\"><a id=\"assign\" name=\"assign\"><\/a>For Students: Completing Assignments<\/h2>\n<p>Your professors will assign key assessments in each Education class. These key assessments will have standards associated with them. It is important to upload these assignments in Tk20 for grading and so we have a record of how well you met the standards.\u00a0Here are the steps once you&#8217;ve purchased your account, logged in, and changed your password.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Click on the assignment you want to complete under <strong>Pending Tasks\u00a0<\/strong>(or you can find your assignments if you click on the &#8220;Courses&#8221; tab). A Pending Task will be labeled with a little red flag. Once the assignment has been submitted, the red flag will change to a green checkmark.<\/li>\n<li>Use the <strong>Artifact Wizard<\/strong>\u00a0if it is available for your assignment to upload any files or artifacts. Clicking on some assignments will not provide the Artifact Wizard. If that is the case, proceed to step #3.\u00a0<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Create a new artifact (unless you want to attach an artifact already in your account).<\/li>\n<li>Select the artifact type (for assignments, it will usually be <strong>File<\/strong>).<\/li>\n<li>Upload your document (find the file on your computer).<\/li>\n<li>If you need to attach another artifact, click on <strong>Next<\/strong>\u00a0and upload another file.<\/li>\n<li>When you are done, <strong>click on SUBMIT<\/strong>, and that will send it to your professor. You can also SAVE it if you need to work on it at a later date. If you don&#8217;t click on the SAVE button at the bottom of the page, your work will NOT be saved.<\/li>\n<li>To view the completed rubric, click on <strong>Courses<\/strong>&#8211;&gt;<strong>Assignments<\/strong>&#8211;&gt;the name of the assignment&#8211;&gt;<strong>Assessments<\/strong>\u00a0tab&#8211;&gt;the name of the rubric.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2 class=\"gold\"><a id=\"FEBinder\" name=\"FEBinder\"><\/a>For Students: Completing Field Experience Binders and Goal Sheets and Viewing Host Teacher Evaluations<\/h2>\n<p>It is important that you complete your field experience binders ON TIME and accurately. You will receive emails outlining dates that your binders are available and due each semester.\u00a0Here are the steps once you&#8217;ve purchased your account, logged in, and changed your password. There is a <strong>two step process<\/strong> for creating your goal sheet and then attaching it to a field experience binder later in the semester.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Step 1 &#8212; Creating the Goal Sheet<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>You should start your goal sheet early in the semester and then use this electronic artifact to record your hours.<\/li>\n<li>Click on the <strong>Artifacts<\/strong>\u00a0tab.<\/li>\n<li>On the left, click <strong>Create<\/strong>\u00a0and select <strong>Field Experience Goal Sheet\u00a0<\/strong>as the artifact type.<\/li>\n<li>Give your artifact a title &#8212; use the semester, year, your last name, course number, school. Example:\u00a0<strong>Fall 2013 Campbell ED 246 Greenvale.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Complete <strong>one artifact for each placement<\/strong> you are completing. Name them appropriately (by class and placement).\n<ol>\n<li>If you have <strong>two placements for one class<\/strong>, create two goal sheets: &#8220;Fall 2013 Campbell ED 246 Greenvale&#8221; and &#8220;Fall 2013 Campbell ED 246 Nfield HS&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>If you have <strong>one placement that is covering two classes<\/strong>, only do ONE goal sheet: &#8220;Fall 2013 Campbell ED 246 and 330 Greenvale&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>Complete ALL FIELDS in the artifact. <strong>If a field has an * in it, your must complete it, or you will not be able to save your goal sheet.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>At the bottom of the page, you will enter your hours in a table. Click on the <strong>ADD ROW <\/strong>button. List the date of the first time you went to field experience, followed by the number of hours (please record in quarter hours &#8212; that is, 2.00 hours, 2.50 hours, 2.25 hours, etc.). Also list a couple of words to describe what you did. Click on ADD ROW to include more hours. When you&#8217;ve entered all your hours, calculate the total number of hours and enter it. <strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Click on <strong>SAVE<\/strong>. That will return you to the previous screen where you will see the new Goal Sheet Artifact you created.<\/li>\n<li>You can return to this Goal Sheet any time to keep track of your hours by clicking on the &#8220;<strong>Artifacts<\/strong>&#8221; tab.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong><em>Step 2 &#8212; Attaching the Goal Sheet to the Field Experience Binder<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>With three weeks left in the semester, you will get an email from the Director of Assessment that your field experience binder has been sent to you. This means that you can now attach your goal sheet to your field experience binder.<\/li>\n<li>Click on the <strong>Field Experience<\/strong>\u00a0tab. A Pending Task will be labeled with a little red flag. Once the binder has been submitted, the red flag will change to a green checkmark. Click on the link next to the red flag.<\/li>\n<li>Click on <strong>Goal Sheet<\/strong>\u00a0to attach your Goal Sheet artifact.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Under the <strong>Title<\/strong>\u00a0column, click on <strong>Click here to Attach<\/strong>. You should get an option to attach a current artifact. Select the Goal Sheet artifact that corresponds with this field experience course and attach it.<\/li>\n<li>Click on <strong>SAVE<\/strong>. It will tell you that the artifact is attached. Click <strong>OK<\/strong>. That will return you to the previous screen. If you have more than one placement, you will upload additional goal sheets similarly.<\/li>\n<li>Click on <strong>SUBMIT<\/strong>, and that will send it to your professor. <strong>If you don&#8217;t click on the SUBMIT button at the bottom of the page, your work will NOT be saved and submitted.<\/strong> Your field experience host teacher will complete an evaluation of your work in his\/her classroom; you can see this evaluation by clicking on the link to this field experience.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong><em>Step 3 &#8212; Viewing Your Host Teacher&#8217;s Evaluation<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Click on the <strong>Field Experience<\/strong>\u00a0tab. You will see a list of all the field experiences you have done in Tk20. Click on the one you would like to read.<\/li>\n<li>Click on the <strong>Assessment<\/strong>\u00a0tab at the top of the binder view. You will see links for the\u00a0<em>Field Experience Host Evaluation<\/em>\u00a0and the\u00a0Goal Sheet Sign-Off. Click on the link for the\u00a0<em>Evaluation.<\/em><\/li>\n<li>If your host teacher completed his\/her evaluation of your field experience, you will be able to see their responses. If they did not complete the evaluation, you will see an incomplete evaluation.<\/li>\n<li>When you are finished viewing the evaluation, click <strong>Close<\/strong>\u00a0twice at the bottom of the page.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2 class=\"gold\"><a id=\"Students_CandidatePresentation\" name=\"Students_CandidatePresentation\"><\/a>For Students: Completing the Candidate Presentation Portfolio<\/h2>\n<p>The <strong>Candidate Presentation <\/strong>gives students an opportunity to reflect on progress towards meeting the MN Board of Teaching standards through Education coursework and field experiences, and it will help the Education Department gauge readiness to student teach. Successful completion of this presentation (generally in the semester prior to student teaching) is required in order to student teach. \u00a0The assignment can be found here: <a href=\"https:\/\/wp.stolaf.edu\/education\/files\/2013\/03\/Candidate_Presentation_REV_S21.doc\">assignment for the Candidate Presentation<\/a>.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Click on the <strong>Portfolio<\/strong>\u00a0tab. You should see the Candidate Presentation Portfolio labeled with a little red flag.<\/li>\n<li>Click on the\u00a0<strong>Candidate Presentation Portfolio<\/strong>\u00a0link.<\/li>\n<li>Click on the\u00a0<strong>Artifact Wizard<\/strong>\u00a0to upload files or artifacts.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Upload your files that correspond with the Standards. Under each standard, click on the link that says <strong>Click Here to Attach<\/strong>. Select <strong>Create a new file<\/strong>\u00a0and upload the file that corresponds with that particular task. If you need to attach more than one file, click on <strong>Click to Attach Another File<\/strong>\u00a0listed next the the &#8220;Choose File&#8221; button. If you do that, the group of files will be saved, essentially, to a folder, so be careful what you title the first file, as that will be the name of the folder (see the podcast for a visual of this).<\/li>\n<li>As you are working, periodically click on the\u00a0<strong>SAVE<\/strong>\u00a0button at the bottom of the portfolio. Your portfolio IS NOT saved until you click on that button, even though your artifacts show up as being attached.<\/li>\n<li>Once all files are attached, you will complete a <strong>Portfolio Reflection Form for each standard<\/strong>. This is where you will write how the evidence you&#8217;ve just uploaded demonstrates that you have met each standard. Type in your response and click <strong>Add<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>For the Dispositions, you will create a Dispositions Artifact. click on &#8220;Click here to Attach.&#8221; Click on the radio button that says &#8220;Create a new Disposition Self-Assessment .&#8221; Complete the artifact. You will also do a reflection for the Dispositions.<\/li>\n<li>Upload your Goals and your Statement of Readiness to Student Teach under the appropriate tabs.<\/li>\n<li>When you are done,\u00a0<strong>click on SUBMIT<\/strong>, and that will send it to your professor. You can also SAVE by clicking at the bottom of the screen it if you need to work on it at a later date. Remember that SAVE will not submit it. Also,\u00a0<strong>if you exit this screen without SAVING your work (at the bottom of the screen), all your uploaded files will be gone.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2 class=\"gold\"><a id=\"ED290\" name=\"ED290\"><\/a>For Students: Completing the ED 290 Portfolio<\/h2>\n<p>Here are the steps for completing your ED 290 Portfolio in Tk20.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Click on the <strong>Portfolio<\/strong>\u00a0tab. Also, <strong>if you exit this screen without SAVING your work (at the bottom of the screen), all your uploaded files will be gone.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2><a name=\"Scores\"><\/a><a name=\"STSchedule\"><\/a>For Student Teachers: Providing Your Teaching Schedule<\/h2>\n<p>Here are the steps for providing the Education Department with your teaching schedule and other details about your student teaching placement. Please complete this for each placement.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Click on the\u00a0<strong>Applications\u00a0<\/strong>tab\u00a0at the top of the page.<\/li>\n<li>On the left hand navigation bar, click on\u00a0<strong>Create.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Select the application type\u00a0<strong>Student Teaching Schedule.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Make sure to CAREFULLY complete this form, as it will provide your college supervisors with important information they will use when visiting you.<\/li>\n<li>If you didn&#8217;t get a chance to finish the application in one setting, you can SAVE it and return to it by clicking on the &#8220;Applications&#8221; tab.<\/li>\n<li>Once you finish the application, click on <strong>SUBMIT<\/strong>. If you don&#8217;t SUBMIT the application, your supervisors and the Education Department will not be able to see the information you provided.<\/li>\n<li>If you need to change your schedule, Sue\/Heather can\u00a0<strong>REVOKE<\/strong>\u00a0the assessment and\u00a0<strong>grant an extension<\/strong>. From the &#8220;Applications&#8221;&#8211;&gt;&#8221;Browse&#8221; page, you should see the application you created for your schedule. Click on the\u00a0<strong>RECALL<\/strong>\u00a0button, make changes and resubmit.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2 class=\"gold\"><a id=\"assign2\" name=\"assign\"><\/a>For Student Teachers\/Students: Completing the edTPA<\/h2>\n<p>Here are the steps for completing your edTPA in Tk20.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Click on the <strong>Portfolio<\/strong>\u00a0tab. You should see the edTPA labeled with a little red flag. Once the TPA has been submitted, the red flag will change to a green checkmark. <em><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li>Click on the <strong>TPA<\/strong> link.<\/li>\n<li>You can download your handbook from this first page if you want an electronic pdf file.<\/li>\n<li>Click on the <strong>Artifact Wizard<\/strong>\u00a0to upload any files or artifacts for the edTPA.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>You should download all the Templates to your desktop and rename them according to the file names listed in the template document (or your handbook). Save these templates as you will be using them to complete the edTPA prompts.\u00a0<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Upload your files that correspond with the Tasks. Click on the link that says <strong>Click Here to Attach<\/strong>. Select <strong>Create a new template<\/strong>\u00a0and upload the file that corresponds with that particular task. If you need to attach more than one file, click on <strong>Click to Attach Another File<\/strong>\u00a0listed next the the &#8220;Choose File&#8221; button. If you do that, the group of files will be saved, essentially, to a folder, so be careful what you title the first file, as that will be the name of the folder (see the podcast for a visual of this).<\/li>\n<li>As you are working, periodically click on the <strong>SAVE<\/strong> button at the bottom of the portfolio. You will see a list of all the field experiences you have done in Tk20. Click on a link that has &#8220;Final ST Evaluation&#8221; or &#8220;Final ST Assessment.&#8221; Please note that if you have two student teaching placements, you will have two final assessment binders to view.<\/li>\n<li>Click on the <strong>Assessment<\/strong>\u00a0tab at the top of the binder view. You will see links for letters of recommendation and the final assessment forms. You should be able to download the letters of recommendation when looking for teaching positions.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2 class=\"gold\"><a id=\"ST_journalArtifacts\" name=\"ST_journalArtifacts\"><\/a>For Student Teachers: Standard 1 Portfolio<\/h2>\n<p>Here are the steps for completing your Standard 1 Portfolio.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Click on the <strong>Portfolio<\/strong>\u00a0tab. You should see <strong>Student Teaching Standard 1 Portfolio <\/strong>labeled with a little red flag. In this portfolio, you will include your evidence that you&#8217;ve met Standard 1. Click on the link.<\/li>\n<li>Click on the <strong>Artifact<\/strong> <strong>Wizard<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>You will see five spaces to upload artifacts. Standard 1 is the first one. You can find all the MN Board of Teaching links for Standard 1 at this link: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.revisor.mn.gov\/rules\/?id=8710\">https:\/\/www.revisor.mn.gov\/rules\/?id=8710<\/a>. Page down until you see the Teacher Standards section for your licensure area(s).<\/li>\n<li>Under &#8220;Attachment,&#8221; you will see &#8220;File.&#8221; On that same line under &#8220;Title, click on <strong>Click Here to Attach<\/strong>\u00a0to upload an artifact.<\/li>\n<li>Upload your files that correspond with the Tasks. Select <strong>Create a new file<\/strong>\u00a0and upload the file that corresponds with that particular task. If you need to attach more than one file, click on <strong>Click to Attach Another File\u00a0<\/strong>listed next the the &#8220;Choose File&#8221; button. If you do that, the group of files will be saved, essentially, to a folder, so be careful what you title the first file, as that will be the name of the folder (see the podcast for a visual of this). You need to upload at least THREE files (for each licensure area) to show that you&#8217;ve met Standard 1.<\/li>\n<li>You can also attach additional files next to the <strong>New Item<\/strong>\u00a0link.<\/li>\n<li>Once all files are attached, click on <strong>Portfolio Reflection Form<\/strong>. You will see your student&#8217;s name there.<\/em><\/li>\n<li>On the right hand side, you will see a section marked &#8220;Field Experience Forms,\u201d click on the <strong>Field Experience Host Evaluation\u00a0<\/strong>that is flagged.<\/li>\n<li>Complete the rubric for your student teacher; <strong>DO NOT assign a grade<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>When you are done, click on <strong>SAVE<\/strong> at the bottom of the page.<\/li>\n<li>That will take you back to the previous page.<\/li>\n<li>On the left side of the screen, your student should have completed his\/her &#8220;Goal Sheet&#8221; with the attendance. Click on the tab marked <strong>Goal Sheet<\/strong>. Then click on the link under the heading &#8220;<strong>Name.<\/strong>&#8221; If you scroll to the bottom of that window, you will see the dates and hours that the student reported working with you. If you agree with that accounting, click on the &#8220;<strong>I Agree<\/strong>&#8221; box on the right hand side. If you do not agree, click on &#8220;<strong>I Disagree<\/strong>.&#8221; If you check that you disagree, likely a representative from the Education Department will be contacting you for more information.\n<ul>\n<li>If the student has NOT submitted their Goal Sheet, you may indicate your general impression about their attendance in the space provided. Click on &#8220;SAVE&#8221; so you can return to this assessment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>When you are done, click on <strong>SAVE<\/strong> at the bottom of the page. That will take you to the previous screen.<\/li>\n<li>Finally, click on <strong>Early Field Experience Evaluation and Comments Form<\/strong>. This is an <strong>OPTIONAL<\/strong> form you can use to provide comments about the course-based field experience OR about concerns you may have. Once you are finished with this form, click on <strong>SAVE<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>If you have completed your host evaluation, the Goal Sheet verification, and the Evaluation\/Comments form, now click on <strong>SUBMIT<\/strong> to submit the form. Click on the <strong>Advisement <\/strong>tab at the top of the page.<\/li>\n<li>On the left hand navigation bar, click on <strong>Students\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Search for the student you would like to complete an IDP\/Note for.<\/li>\n<li>You will see a list of users in the system that fit your search criteria. Click on the name of the correct student.<\/li>\n<li>You will see that student&#8217;s information under several tabs. Click on the <strong>Notes<\/strong>\u00a0tab to complete an IDP (you can also see his\/her transcript, assessments, test scores).<\/li>\n<li>Click on <strong>Add New<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Under &#8220;<strong>Title<\/strong>&#8221; put today&#8217;s date and the type of Note (General Note, IDP, Student Teaching Contract, etc.).<\/li>\n<li>Make sure that your name (and the names of others meeting with the student) are entered in the appropriate fields.<\/li>\n<li>Scroll down to the appropriate Note type. Complete the form.<\/li>\n<li>When you are done, <strong>click on ADD<\/strong>. That should send you back out to the Notes main page. You should now see your note listed there. Click on it and print a copy for the student<strong>. Send an email to the Director of Assessment alerting her that a note has been created.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>EACH TIME you meet with a student, <strong>you should complete a new form<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2 class=\"gold\"><a id=\"FacAssmt\" name=\"FacAssmt\"><\/a>For Faculty: Scoring Key Assessments<\/h2>\n<p>Here are the steps to score key assessments in Tk20.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Login. Make sure your role is set as <strong>Faculty<\/strong>\u00a0from the Home login page.<\/li>\n<li>You should only see two tabs. Click on the <strong>Courses<\/strong>\u00a0tab at the top of the page.<\/li>\n<li>On the left side, click on <strong>Assignments<\/strong>. You will see a list of all the key assessments that have been assigned to you over the past semesters. Click on the task you would like to assess (there will be a red flag next to an unfinished task).<\/li>\n<li>You will see a list of the students in your class. Any student with a red flag has submitted their assignment. Click on the student&#8217;s name.<\/li>\n<li>If they upoaded a file to Tk20, you will see it on the left side. If you click on the File Name after the number, you can download the file to your desktop.<\/li>\n<li>On the right side, you can see the rubric. Click on the score for each criterion. When you are finished, click <strong>Save<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>You will see a new screen; at the top, there is a <strong>Feedback<\/strong>\u00a0tab. If you would like to add feedback to your assessment, you can add it there. There is also a spot for an overall grade; you do not have to complete this box. From this screen, you also will have to click on either <strong>SAVE<\/strong>\u00a0or <strong>SUBMIT\u00a0<\/strong><strong>or your work will be lost<\/strong>. If you click <strong>SAVE<\/strong>, you can come back and make revisions. If you click <strong>SUBMIT<\/strong>, you indicate you are done scoring the rubric, and the student has access to the scores.<\/li>\n<li>If you submitted in error, you can &#8220;<strong>REVOKE<\/strong>&#8221; the assessment from the screen in #7. Also, if you want students to revise something, you must first\u00a0<strong>REVOKE<\/strong> the assessment (NOT the assignment), and then <strong>grant an extension<\/strong> from the tab in the same screen. At this point, any Education Department faculty member can see the application (when you choose the role <strong>Reviewer<\/strong>).<\/li>\n<li>Student meets with content area faculty to plan content courses.\n<ul>\n<li>Content faculty can access the student from the Advising tab to see the courses required for licensure \u2013 that form can be printed for the students. They can also access other information about the student.\n<ul>\n<li>To access advising form:<\/li>\n<li>Go to <strong>Advisement<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Click on <strong>Students<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Search for the student<\/li>\n<li>Click on the student\u2019s name. You will see the advising sheet for that licensure area on the right hand side as well as other information about that student. You can print the advising sheet and give it to the student to use to plan the content courses.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>There currently is no &#8220;sign off&#8221; for the content faculty\u2026except for music (Linda will be doing Part 3 with music students). Students do have to indicate on Part I of the application that they&#8217;ve met with their content faculty.<\/li>\n<li>After meeting with their content faculty, student meets with Education faculty<strong> to review Part 1 of the application<\/strong> (using the Teacher Education Application Review form) and to plan Education courses (Part 2 of the application). \u00a0<strong>You might want to start the review before your meeting with the student<\/strong> (for example, to review the essay and transcript).<\/li>\n<li>You need to be logged in as a <strong>Reviewer<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Click on the <strong>Applications<\/strong>\u00a0tab<\/li>\n<li>Click on the <strong>Submissions<\/strong> link on the left menu (Browse)<\/li>\n<li>You will see a list of students who are currently completing their application. If it is ready to be read, there will be a submit date.<\/li>\n<li>Click on the link for that student. You will see their application on the left and the review form on the right.<\/li>\n<li>When you are finished reviewing Part I, click <strong>Save<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>On the Application Review screen, indicate your final result and add any comments you want to make. <strong>The student will see this form<\/strong>, your comments, and any feedback.<\/li>\n<li>If you <strong>Save<\/strong>, you can come back to the review form to make changes If you <strong>Submit,<\/strong>\u00a0it is finished!<\/li>\n<li>If a student needs to change something, you can <strong>REVOKE<\/strong> the application and grant an <strong>EXTENSION<\/strong>. The student would need to <strong>RECALL<\/strong> it and then make the changes and resubmit. Your form will be saved.<\/li>\n<li>With the student, you will complete Part 2 of the application.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ol>\n<li>The student logs in to Tk20.<\/li>\n<li>They should click on the <strong>Applications<\/strong>\u00a0tab, click on\u00a0<strong>Create<\/strong>\u00a0and select <strong>Teacher Education Application\u2014Part 2<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Print the blank Course Plan form (linked in Tk20) to plan on first, and then transfer that information to Part 2 of the application. <strong>Make sure to complete the Course Plan form (the word doc) electronically and have the student\u00a0<\/strong><strong>upload it to Tk20<\/strong><strong>.<\/strong> <strong>The student cannot submit their application unless this is complete.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Check the courses the student plans to take during the appropriate semester.<\/li>\n<li>If there is a problem, note it and email the Director of Assessment (for example, if a course is missing during a particular semester).\u00a0 The student can still SUBMIT, though. We can make changes to the application later if need be.<\/li>\n<li>Stress that if the student needs to change their course plan, they should contact someone in the Education Department ASAP so we can note that in their file.<\/li>\n<li>If the student is pursuing the concentration, they should indicate the additional elective courses they wish to pursue.<\/li>\n<li>The student should then agree with the statement and click <strong>Submit<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Sue will be reviewing this application. After the grades are out in SIS, the student will receive notification of whether or not they have been accepted to the Teacher Education Program.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"gold\"><a id=\"edTPA_ASSMT\" name=\"edTPA_ASSMT\"><\/a>For Faculty: Assessing the edTPA Portfolio<\/h2>\n<p>Here are the steps to assessing edTPA Portfolio.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Under &#8220;Pending Tasks,&#8221; you will see a list of assignments, portfolios, and other tasks to complete. You should see a link \u00a0<strong>Evaluate the edTPA Portfolio\u00a0<\/strong>for each of your students. Click on the link to assess the edTPA. You can click on the handbook link to download a handbook.<\/li>\n<li>On the right-hand side, you will see a link to all 15 rubrics.\u00a0Click on the rubric links to assess each criteria.<\/li>\n<li>On the left-hand side, you will see the TPA portfolio. Click on the tab that corresponds to the Task you wish to assess.<\/li>\n<li>Under\u00a0<strong>Name<\/strong>, you will see a link to an artifact created to address the commentaries of the edTPA. Click on the <strong>indented file name<\/strong>; that will prompt a download to your computer. <strong>Check the video link<\/strong> before you assess any of the tasks to make sure that the video plays. If it does not, send an email to your student asking them to RECALL their edTPA and upload another video file.<\/li>\n<li>If will not complete the entire edTPA in one sitting, you can <strong>SAVE<\/strong> the rubric. <strong>DO NOT SUBMIT<\/strong> until you have assessed ALL the tasks. Make sure that you click on <strong>SAVE TWICE<\/strong>!!!<\/li>\n<li>If a student receives more than three 1&#8217;s on their edTPA, they must redo commentaries on which they scored a &#8220;1.&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"gold\"><a name=\"FacCandPort\"><\/a>For Faculty: Assessing the Candidate Portfolio and Presentation<\/h2>\n<p>Here are the steps to scoring the Candidate Portfolio and Presentation.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Review the <a href=\"https:\/\/wp.stolaf.edu\/education\/files\/2013\/03\/Candidate_Presentation_REV_S21.doc\">Candidate Portfolio assignment<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Under &#8220;Pending Tasks,&#8221; you will see a list of assignments, portfolios, and other tasks to complete. You should see a link\u00a0<strong>Evaluate Candidate Portfolio<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>for each of your candidates. You\u00a0<em>should<\/em>\u00a0see the red flag once the student has submitted the portfolio. Click on that link.<\/li>\n<li>If you don&#8217;t see your student&#8217;s portfolio in your pending task list, click on Portfolios&#8211;&gt;Portfolio Assessments, and you should find it there. If you use this link, you can also see when students have submitted their portfolios.<\/li>\n<li>Click on the candidates&#8217; portfolio.<\/li>\n<li>On the right-hand side, you will see a link the overall rubric.\u00a0Click on that link; that is the rubric you will use to assess the candidate&#8217;s portfolio.<\/li>\n<li>On the left, you will see tabs in the portfolio for Standards 2-10, Dispositions, Goals, and Readiness Statement. Click on the &#8220;Standard 1&#8221; tab at the top of the screen.<\/li>\n<li>Under <strong>Name<\/strong>, you will see links to artifacts the student uploaded to show that s\/he has met Standard 1. Click on those links. Students should upload at least 1-2 pieces of evidence to show that they&#8217;ve met Standard 2-10.<\/li>\n<li>On the left you will also see the portfolio reflection form. Please review the artifacts along with the portfolio reflection forms before you complete the rubric. After you&#8217;ve reviewed all the standards and dispositions, score criteria 1.<\/li>\n<li>Click on the tab for student teaching goals; rate the candidate&#8217;s performance.<\/li>\n<li>Click on the tab for readiness for student teaching statement; rate the candidate&#8217;s performance.<\/li>\n<li>Save your rubric; you will later assess the presentation. Once you&#8217;ve assessed the presentation, you can submit the rubric.<\/li>\n<li>If you think that the evidence or reflection would receive a &#8220;1,&#8221; make comments in the comment box in the rubric, copy the comments, and save it. After you save the rubric, you will need to grant an extension to the student so he\/she can revise the area in which the &#8220;1&#8221; was obtained. Click on &#8220;Grant Extension.&#8221; You can paste your comments in the comment box and grant the extension to the date you would like it completed by. Then email the student, copy your comments in the text of your email regarding the part of the portfolio that needs revision, and ask them to email you once they&#8217;ve revised the portfolio. The tasks you complete are on the right. You will notice a box for Site Staff&#8217;s Assessments. If there is no date listed across from the &#8220;Field Experience Host Evaluation&#8221; and &#8220;Goal Sheet Sign-Off,&#8221; <strong>DO NOT<\/strong> complete your rubric, as you need to review these two rubrics from the host teacher <strong>FIRST<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Click on the link <strong>Field Experience Professor\/Student Teaching Supervisor Comments<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Click on the &#8220;Goal Sheet&#8221; on the right to see the student&#8217;s goal sheet.<\/li>\n<li>Click on the host teacher&#8217;s Goal Sheet Sign Off and their Evaluation.
