St. Olaf has established the following aspirations (intended outcomes) for its DEI work:
Diversity: The diversity of St. Olaf students, faculty, and staff will reflect the diversity of the population of prospective students we seek to serve.
Equity: Students, faculty, and staff of all identities will thrive through high-quality experiences and excellent outcomes.
Inclusion: Students, faculty, and staff of all identities will express a strong sense of belonging, connection, and agency in relation to the college.
Below are links to the data the college is using to track its progress on each of these aspirations, with information about many different aspects of living, learning, and working on the Hill. The data show that St. Olaf is making sustained progress in becoming more a more diverse and equitable community, but has more work to do in fostering a campus-wide sense of inclusion. These patterns inspired the Co-Creating an Inclusive Community initiative, an ongoing effort to engage the whole St. Olaf community in working together to become a place where everyone belongs and everyone thrives.
