In this situation, someone will be in contact.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>Major Event Dates<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0 Major campus events take priority.\u00a0 Events like Move-In Day, Homecoming, Founders Day, Family Weekend, Christmas Festival, etc may have restrictions placed on additional, concurrent activities.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>Academic Calendar Conflicts<\/strong>\u00a0 Please make every effort to avoid programming on key academic times like Faulty Quiet Week, Reading Day, and Finals Week.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>Reserve Space<\/strong>\u00a0 Select the preferred space based on the size and type of event to be hosted.\u00a0 *All spaces are reserved via <a href=\"https:\/\/wp.stolaf.edu\/scheduling\/\">R25<\/a>.\u00a0 *Exceptions to this are the<a href=\"http:\/\/oleville.com\/pause\/reservations\/\"> Lion&#8217;s Pause areas<\/a>, Residence Hall spaces, and various spaces around campus that are not-reserveable.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">NOTE: The room is not officially reserved until you receive a confirmation email back from a scheduler. Do not publicize the event until a confirmation has been received.\u00a0 Keeping a copy of this email is a good idea.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Consider the set-up and technical needs.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Most meeting rooms have basic internet and projection technology built in. Some do not.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Is a presenter bringing in media? What format will it be in? Online? Flash drive? Laptop?\u00a0 Ask!<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Microphone needed?<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Showing a movie? Do you have <a href=\"https:\/\/wp.stolaf.edu\/sa\/filmvideo-and-public-performance\/\">Public Performance Rights<\/a>?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Submit the event to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stolaf.edu\/calendar\/\">Master Calendar<\/a>\u00a0 A simple fill-in form can be submitted to the campus calendar.\u00a0 It&#8217;s a good place for both on and off-campus guests to find out more information about the program.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rain or severe weather plans<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>\u00a0 <\/strong>Always good to have a back-up plan.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Amplified sound, if outside:\u00a0 <\/strong>Be cognizant of time and place.\u00a0 Amplified sound should not begin before 3pm, when classes (generally) end nor go past 9pm.\u00a0 Outside amplification during Reading Day and Finals Weeks is prohibited.<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Date Selection\u00a0 After reviewing the college&#8217;s Master Calendar, select your preferred date, time, and location.
