Basic overview of the menu

The Menus section allows you to control the appearance of the menu on the left-hand side of your site.

There are two types of menu items:

• Page-independent
• Page-dependent

Page-independent menu items show up on every page and are on the “first tier” (displayed with a colored background).

Page-dependent menu items, on the other hand, only display if the parent page is displayed. These items appear under the parent page menu item in the “second tier” (displayed indented and without a background color).

Editing the menu

In order to edit the menu, you’ll need to login to WordPress and navigate to the Menus screen.

1. Log in to WordPress
2. Hover over the “Appearance” tab on the left
3. Click “Menus” from the pop-out menu
