Full-time employment corresponds to 1.00 FTE; part-time employment is expressed as a fractional FTE. The FTE of a faculty appointment is based on the number of courses (or responsibilities with pre-determined course-equivalents) assigned during an academic year; FTE is not allocated for teaching or other institutional duties carried out during the summer.<\/p>\n<p>Faculty with an FTE of at least 0.50 are eligible to participate in the college\u2019s benefits programs.
