{"id":53,"date":"2013-12-05T14:19:56","date_gmt":"2013-12-05T20:19:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wp.stolaf.edu\/facultyhandbook\/?page_id=53"},"modified":"2014-01-17T15:28:20","modified_gmt":"2014-01-17T21:28:20","slug":"academic-computing-policy-board","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/wp.stolaf.edu\/facultyhandbook\/academic-computing-policy-board\/","title":{"rendered":"Academic Computing Policy Board"},"content":{"rendered":"<div data-modular-content-collection><p><i>[Faculty Handbook Category #3]<\/i><\/p>\n<p>The Office of Information and Instructional Technologies is an administrative unit established to provide computing services, including the support of the college\u2019s academic program.\u00a0\u00a0The Academic Computing Policy Board serves as the faculty&#8217;s instrument to provide leadership and establish priorities for academic computing activities at St. Olaf.<\/p>\n<ol style=\"list-style-type: upper-alpha;\">\n<li><b>Specific Responsibilities<\/b>\n<ol>\n<li>To serve as an advocate for academic computing at St. Olaf.<\/li>\n<li>To develop and approve policies for academic computing at St. Olaf.<\/li>\n<li>To set goals and establish priorities for academic computing within the Office of Information and Instructional Technologies.<\/li>\n<li>To stimulate faculty development in the area of academic computing.<\/li>\n<li>To prepare and periodically update a long-range plan for academic computing at St.\u00a0Olaf.<\/li>\n<li>To review annual budget proposals prepared by the Director of Information and Instructional Technologies.<\/li>\n<li>To advise the Director of Information and Instructional Technologies on issues facing the Office of Information and Instructional Technologies.<\/li>\n<li><b>\u00a0<\/b>To work with other units of the college to ensure appropriate planning for campus\u2011wide development of technology services that affect the academic program.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li><b>\u00a0<\/b><b>Personnel &#8211;\u00a0<\/b>The Academic Computing Policy Board shall consist of four members: three\u00a0faculty\u00a0from different Faculties appointed by the Dean of the College for terms of no more than three years, and the Director of Information and Instructional Technologies.\u00a0\u00a0Members of the Board may be reappointed.\u00a0\u00a0The Dean of the College will appoint one of the faculty members of the Board as Chair.\u00a0\u00a0The Chair of the Board shall normally be a tenured member of the faculty.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[Faculty Handbook Category #3] The Office of Information and Instructional Technologies is an administrative unit established to provide computing services, including the support of the college\u2019s academic program.\u00a0\u00a0The Academic Computing [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":209,"featured_media":0,"parent":0,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-53","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":[],"jetpack_sharing_enabled":true,"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/wp.stolaf.edu\/facultyhandbook\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/53","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/wp.stolaf.edu\/facultyhandbook\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/wp.stolaf.edu\/facultyhandbook\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/page"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/wp.stolaf.edu\/facultyhandbook\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/209"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/wp.stolaf.edu\/facultyhandbook\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=53"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/wp.stolaf.edu\/facultyhandbook\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/53\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/wp.stolaf.edu\/facultyhandbook\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=53"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
