{"id":4105,"date":"2018-10-08T13:42:04","date_gmt":"2018-10-08T18:42:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wp.stolaf.edu\/finance\/?page_id=4105"},"modified":"2023-06-07T08:19:37","modified_gmt":"2023-06-07T13:19:37","slug":"tag-team-assumptions-principles","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/wp.stolaf.edu\/finance\/tag-team-assumptions-principles\/","title":{"rendered":"TAG Team Assumptions and Principles"},"content":{"rendered":"<div data-modular-content-collection><p>Consistent with the principles set forth in the SRAP Planning Guideline, the Instructional Program Review Group and the Non-Instructional Program Review Group TAG projects will:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Demonstrate alignment with the College\u2019s Mission and Mission in Practice statements<\/li>\n<li>Uphold the reputation and quality of the St. Olaf experience<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to St. Olaf\u2019s \u201cValue Proposition\u201d for current and prospective students<\/li>\n<li>Identify strategic opportunities or improvements<\/li>\n<li>Continue development of the Strategic Plan<\/li>\n<li>Do no harm to the student academic experience, either now or in the future<\/li>\n<li>Minimize any negative impact on the student non-instructional experience<\/li>\n<li>Remember the College legacy as we work to \u201cfuture proof\u201d the College<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that offices are operating as efficiently as possible and can demonstrate their cost effectiveness<\/li>\n<li>When possible and appropriate, cut or contain non-compensation expenditures before people<\/li>\n<li>When cuts in staff are necessary, first turn to retirements or resignations<\/li>\n<li>Maintain a level of staffing appropriate for the nature and level of programs<\/li>\n<li>Maintain quality of work life and fairness in the distribution of work assignments when staff are cut<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>How TAGs will engage with the SRAP Steering Committee and the College community:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A summary of each TAG project, including purpose, group members, and project objectives, is provided at <a href=\"https:\/\/wp.stolaf.edu\/finance\/tag-team-charges\/\">TAG Team Charges<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>As part of their work, TAG members will confer with appropriate governance entities (e.g., relevant standing faculty committees) when potential recommendations invoke principles of shared governance<\/li>\n<li>TAG project members welcome input from any colleague in the St. Olaf community.
