Undocumented students are eligible to receive financial aid (grants, scholarships, work study and loans) from St. Olaf. If a student is a Minnesota resident, they can also receive the Minnesota State Grant. Students are also eligible to receive outside scholarships.<\/p>\n

All students follow the same process in consideration for merit scholarships. Students must complete the Application for Admission for academic and service leadership scholarships. If a student is applying for one of the fine arts scholarships (music, theater, art and dance), they must submit additional information for those scholarships.<\/p>\n

In order to be considered for St. Olaf need-based aid, undocumented students must complete and submit the CSS PROFILE. The PROFILE is a service of the College Board.<\/p>\n

STEP 2: CSS PROFILE<\/strong><\/span>

  • St. Olaf is one of over 300 schools nationally to require the CSS PROFILE in determining institutional aid. The CSS PROFILE is a more in-depth and nuanced financial aid application than the FAFSA.<\/li>\n
  • All students interested in need-based St. Olaf aid\u00a0are required\u00a0to complete the CSS PROFILE.<\/li>\n
  • Students are NOT required<\/strong> to have a Social Security Number to complete the CSS PROFILE.<\/li>\n
  • There is a fee required to complete the CSS PROFILE. There is an automatic fee waiver that applies for certain students and eligibility for this fee waiver is determined by the CSS PROFILE\/College Board.<\/li>\n

  • The CSS PROFILE for the 2024-25 Academic Year can be completed any time after October 1, 2023. \u00a0Please note that you are completing the CSS PROFILE with final tax information for 2022, so please have that information readily available when completing the CSS PROFILE.<\/li>\n
