Object Study: Spring 2018 is a hybrid gallery-classroom in the Center for Art and Dance (room 205) – a place where students can have close and repeated encounters with artworks from Flaten Art Museum’s collection to deepen their understanding of the subjects covered in classes across the curriculum. In collaboration with museum staff, the following six faculty members selected works of art that employ, convey, or expand key course concepts.
Kate Casanova, Topics in Art: The Collection as Art (ART 240)
Anna Kuxhausen, Europe from the Reformation to Modern Times (HIST 191)
Erika Pazian, Topics in Art History: Latin American Art (ART 275)
John Saurer, Sculpture/Direct Metal (ART 224)
Nancy Thompson, Introduction to Art History (ART 153A and 153B)
Mary Titus, American Culture: Interdisciplinary Perspectives (AMST 100)
Museum closed for Spring Break March 24 – April 2, 2018.
