Roberta Allen<\/a>,\u00a0Niles Cruz<\/a>,\u00a0Robert Fathauer<\/a>,\u00a0Susan Happersett<\/a>,\u00a0Roland de Jong-Orlando<\/a>,\u00a0Sharol Nau,\u00a0Dick Termes<\/a><\/p>\n

Artists have been drawn to mathematical concepts such as order, fractals, chaos, and patterns for centuries. In the early fifteenth century, architect, engineer, and sculptor Brunelleschi (Filippo Di Ser Brunellesco) devised formulas for linear perspective. In this exhibit, seven artists explore math concepts and phenomena through art.\u00a0Read short bios on each of the artists.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

Five 5th year art apprentices, selected last spring from a large pool of deserving graduating senior art majors, have worked since September on their art. Come see where they have put their time and talents. These apprentices receive a small stipend, a studio. For one academic year, they can use St. Olaf College facilities and tap into the expertise of the professors as they prepare portfolios for further studies or explorations of the arts.<\/p>\n
