She uses craft as an avenue to pursue her research interest in ethnobotany (the human plant relationship) and exploring the ceramic vessel as a form of social art practice. Forrest Sincoff Gard earned his MFA from Louisiana State University, and BFA at Ohio University. His interactive installations aim to evoke the feeling of creative play for visitors. Together, the two run Gard Clay Studios where they make a line of functional, well-crafted ceramics and operate a small artist residency program. They reside in Macon, Georgia for an artist residency at Wesleyan College.

The National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts is a dynamic organization that inspires global advancement and appreciation of the field through programs, exhibitions, opportunities and resources

Image courtesy of the artists

February 8 – April 14, 2019 Center for Art and Dance Corridor This site-specific installation for St. Olaf College’s Center for Art and Dance draws upon and upends the tradition […]

"_jetpack_featured_image_duplicate_dismissed":0

post-2509","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry
["GET
