Transfer of Memory<\/strong> <\/span><\/h2>\n

On view in The Link, located between the Center for Art and Dance and Tweet Hall of Music at St. Olaf College; Open to the public daily from <\/span>7 a.m. \u2013 6 p.m.\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Through color photography and narrative accounts, <\/span>Transfer of Memory<\/span><\/i><\/a> illuminates the lives of Holocaust survivors who came to live in Minnesota. Flaten Art Museum, together with the Jewish Community Relations Council of Minnesota and the Dakotas<\/a> (JCRC), presents <\/span>Transfer of Memory<\/span><\/i> to provide space to explore issues of tolerance, prejudice, and discrimination as a prelude to its forthcoming exhibition <\/span>The Making Known<\/span><\/i> (February 18\u2013April 8, 2022), which includes selected posters and broadsides from the Tetlie Collection of WWII Propaganda Posters held at St. Olaf College.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This exhibition was curated by Laura Zelle and Susie Greenberg with color photographs by David Sherman and writing by Lili Chester, in partnership with the JCRC.\u00a0<\/span>Since 1939, the JCRC has served as the designated public affairs voice of the Jewish community to elected officials, the media, and other religious, racial and ethnic groups. The JCRC is a unique, local agency committed to advocating for Israel, fighting anti-Semitism, community service, social action advocacy, Holocaust education, and safeguarding religious freedom.<\/span><\/p>\n
