Her paintings often isolate and abstract selected areas of historic imagery, pushing them beyond visual resemblance. For example, Weeks\u2019 painting, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hence,<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is in conversation with Duccio\u2019s <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Maest\u00e0, The Temptation of Christ on the Mountain. <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Weeks focuses on Christ\u2019s finger, which casts off the devil, and transforms it into a disembodied rectangular prism hovering in space.
