The Taylor Center is happy to help connect students with local medical providers. Email <strong>waite1@stolaf.edu <\/strong>or visit the TC for more information<strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h4><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetrevorproject.org\/#sm.0001tpw4nodvhfkxw8d23nyyrgobk\">The Trevor Project<\/a><\/h4>\n<p>The Trevor Project is a national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to LGBTQIA+\u00a0 young people ages 13\u201324. They offer a variety of resources and trainings on their website. In addition, they provide the following crisis interventions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetrevorproject.org\/get-help\/\">Trevor Lifeline<\/a><\/strong>\u2014 A 24\/7 crisis intervention and suicide prevention lifeline for LGBTQIA+ young people under 25, available at 1-866-488-7386.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetrevorproject.org\/pages\/get-help-now#tc\">TrevorChat<\/a><\/strong>\u2014 A free, confidential, secure instant messaging service for LGBTQIA+ youth that provides live help from trained volunteer counselors, open daily from 2pm\u20139pm CT.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetrevorproject.org\/pages\/get-help-now#tt\">TrevorText<\/a><\/strong>\u2014 A free, confidential, secure service in which LGBTQIA+ young people can text a trained Trevor counselor for support and crisis intervention, available Monday\u2013Friday from 2pm\u20139pm CT by texting START to 678678.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><a href=\"https:\/\/www.translifeline.org\/\">Trans Lifeline<\/a><\/h4>\n<p>The Trans Lifeline is a national trans-led organization dedicated to improving the quality of trans lives by responding to the critical needs of our community with direct service, material support, advocacy, and education. Below are a couple services to highlight:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.translifeline.org\/hotline\">Trans Lifeline Hotline<\/a>\u2014\u00a0A\u00a0peer support service run by trans people, for trans and questioning callers. This hotline is open 24\/7, with guaranteed operators from 9am-3am, and is available at 1-877-565-8860.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.translifeline.org\/microgrants\">Trans Lifeline Microgrants<\/a>\u2014 A program that can help you change your legal name and update your government identification documents. Their advocates will guide you through the process and paperwork, and then cover the entire cost for the following:\n<ul>\n<li>Passport<\/li>\n<li>Driver&#8217;s License and State ID<\/li>\n<li>Court Order Name Change<\/li>\n<li>Immigration Documents<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><a href=\"http:\/\/www.horizonhomes.org\/south-central-mobile-crisis-team\/\">South Central Mobile Crisis Team<\/a><\/h4>\n<p>The South Central Mobile Crisis Team is available 24\/7 to respond in person to individuals the Northfield community. The mobile team is able to meet with people that are experiencing a mental health or emotional crisis, including the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Feelings of stress or feeling overwhelmed<\/li>\n<li>Plans or thoughts of hurting yourself or others<\/li>\n<li>Suddenly finding it difficult to complete normal daily activities due to stress or other symptoms<\/li>\n<li>Increase or change in symptoms such as mood, anxiety or panic attacks, hallucinations, or delusions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You can reach a member of the South Central Mobile Crisis Team at 1-877-399-3040.<\/p>\n<h4><a href=\"https:\/\/suicidepreventionlifeline.org\/\">National Suicide Prevention Lifeline<\/a><\/h4>\n<p>The Lifeline provides 24\/7, free and confidential support for people in distress, prevention and crisis resources for you or your loved ones, and best practices for professionals.
