What does LGBTQIA+ mean?<\/h5>\n

We use the term LGBTQIA+ to encompass individuals who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, and asexual. The plus sign includes gender identities and sexual orientations other than cis-gender* or heterosexual that are not listed above.<\/p>\n

*Cis-gender: a person whose gender identity\u00a0corresponds with their sex assigned at birth.<\/em><\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n\n \n <\/div>\n\n\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\n\n\n\n

The Out for Lunch Series aims to create space on campus for education and community building centered on the lives and experiences of LGBTQIA+ individuals. October 1-31<\/strong> is recognized as LGBTQIA+ History Month in the United States of America. Here at St. Olaf College – there are many events through out the month that all members of the college community are welcomed to participate in beginning on October 1, 2026 with trivia night.<\/div>\n
