We have the privilege of hosting five fabulous History alumni for a student panel on Monday, May 5th at 7 pm in Holland 501<\/strong>. Check out what they’ve been doing since graduating from St. Olaf below!<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maren Magill ’15<\/strong> went on to earn her J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School. She now works for Taft Law Firm<\/a> in Minneapolis as a counsel to government entities. There, she acts as counsel to governmental entities, borrowers, and financial institutions in governmental purpose and conduit revenue bond transactions. Her service areas include public finance and economic development and public infrastructure. She is affiliated with the Minnesota State Bar Association and the National Association of Bond Lawyers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ben Bayer ’15<\/strong> ran on the Cross Country team at St. Olaf. He now works as the principal data engineer at nVent<\/a>, a systems protection and electrical connections company focused on secure and sustainable data solutions. Previously, Ben was a Senior Data Engineer at nVent Electric and also held positions at EAB, Royall, Hardwick Day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brynna Schmidt ’12<\/strong> got a dual degree in History and Political Science from St. Olaf. She previously worked as a special assistant to Senator Al Franken (D-MN) and now works as a state scheduler for Senator Tina Smith (D-MN)<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Logan Rathjen ’11<\/strong> worked at Epic<\/a> as a Project Manager following his graduation from St. Olaf. This role involved working with the information systems teams at Harris County Community Hospital and Hurley Medical Center to implement an electronic medical record for surgeons and anesthesiologists. Following this, he worked as a Library Assistant at the Madison Public Library, worked as a Clinical System Analyst, and most recently, he worked as an Application Administrator for North Memorial Health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Greta Gaetz ’10<\/strong> got a dual degree in History and Sociology\/Anthropology from St. Olaf. Following St. Olaf, she studied Macro Practice Social Work at Augsburg University. Greta is the Policy & Advocacy Manager at Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity<\/a>. She has worked with a range of local nonprofits including Minnesota AIDS Project, Planned Parenthood, and Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
