St. Olaf provides networked storage space for use by students, faculty, and staff. This storage space is available from all college-owned computers on campus. Additionally, users can access their files from their personal computers on and off campus.
Wired or wireless access is available in every Residence Hall.
St. Olaf IT maintains a virtual private network (VPN) for use by college faculty, staff and students. A VPN allows computers off campus (e.g. at your home) to securely connect to the St. Olaf network and function as if it was on campus. It allows access to server files, applications, and library resources that are restricted to on campus users.
St. Olaf users are strongly encouraged to use the ‘eduroam’ wireless network. This wireless network is secured, encrypted and provides access to the Internet and all St. Olaf computing resources.
St. Olaf provides network laser printers for academic uses in most public labs.
