Undergraduate Research at the Kierkegaard Summer Institute
The Kierkegaard Library invites advanced undergraduates and recent graduates from Bachelor programs to apply to Undergraduate Research at the Kierkegaard Summer Institute (previously called the Young Scholars Program).
Undergraduates and recent grads are invited to join an intensive, four-week research program, studying Kierkegaard’s works and learning independent research skills. Participation includes attending lectures, working in peer groups, and conducting independent reading, research, and writing. Students are encouraged to join other academic activities together with visiting scholars, such as close reading of Kierkegaard in Danish. On-campus housing is included. Learn more about housing for summer scholars.
Funding: The Kierkegaard Library covers the cost of on-campus housing for all student participants. St. Olaf students also receive a stipend for living expenses.
Note: There are kitchens in the dorms, as well as other food options on campus. A handbook with more information is provided upon acceptance.
