In 1976, Howard and Edna Hong gifted their private library to St. Olaf College under the agreement that it would function as a center for scholarship. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Kierkegaard Library facilitates international scholarship and community through its vast fellowship and visiting researcher programming, including fellowships for emerging scholars. During the Kierkegaard Summer Institute, participants join scholarly presentations, workshops, and seminars, as well as a Reading and Translation Danish course. About every four years, St. Olaf College and the Hong Kierkegaard Library host the International Kierkegaard Conference, a multi-day symposium revolving around Kierkegaard studies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>None of the Kierkegaard Library\u2019s rich history of scholarship and growth could exist without the many benefactors who, following the Hong\u2019s original gift, have generously donated to support its mission. The donation of books enriches the collection. Volunteer work helps connect the community. And financial philanthropy enables the Kierkegaard Library to continue its scholarship outreach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Hong Kierkegaard Library greatly appreciates contributions to the continuation of its mission.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To contribute financially, follow the&nbsp;link below.
