The Junior Research Fellowship Program – Instructions to Apply<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Applications materials are due by April 1, 2026.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Submit the application form via Google Form (see below). Submit all supporting materials\u2014including letters of recommendation\u2014as email attachments (pdf or Word document) to KSI-Application@stolaf.edu<\/a><\/strong> by the application deadline. Please include \u201cJunior Research Fellowship\u201d in the subject line of all emails.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Application Process:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Application Form<\/strong>
Complete and submit the Kierkegaard Summer Institute Junior Research Fellowship Application Form<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Cover Letter<\/strong>
Submit a cover letter that:
– identifies your current academic level (e.g., sophomore, junior, senior, or recent graduate);
– explains your interest in the program; and
– describes your commitment to active participation in the Kierkegaard Summer Institute\u2019s programming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Research Proposal (2\u20133 pages)<\/strong>
Outline your proposed project. Strong proposals often:
– present a clear research question and scope;
– engage relevant scholarship;
– describe aims and approach;
– reflect on the project\u2019s significance;
– include a short bibliography.
Please also note the intended outcome (e.g., thesis, conference paper, or graduate writing sample).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. CV \/ R\u00e9sum\u00e9<\/strong>
Submit a current CV or r\u00e9sum\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. Recommendation Letters<\/strong>
Arrange for two academic recommendation letters to be sent directly to the email above.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
