Listed below are just some of the many events that we organised or have helped to organise. Some broad-scale events that we have a significant role in organising such as the Conference on Worship, Theology and the Arts are not listed here. There are also a number of other activities and events that we have done with students and departments on campus as well as individuals and groups outside of campus that are not listed here.<\/p>\n

Each of the events below reflect one or more of the Lutheran Center’s pillars: Lutheran tradition (LT), Interfaith Relations (IR) and Vocational Discernment (VD).<\/p>\n

“What Nourishes You?” Monthly Meal Conversations<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The Lutheran Center hosts monthly meal conversations for staff and faculty on what nourishes them and contribute to their well-being. Each meal features a St. Olaf staff or faculty member who responds to the question “What Nourishes You?” Each month features a different speaker.<\/p>\n

Interreligious Circle<\/strong><\/p>\n

In partnership with College Ministry, the Lutheran Center established the Interreligous Circle, made up of students from a variety of traditions including Christian, Hindu, Jewish, Muslim, and Humanist. These students explored with one another how their own religious\/non-religious identities inform how they live and how learning more about other identities inform, challenge, and enrich their understanding of who they are individually and as a member of a diverse community like St. Olaf.<\/p>\n
