The Lutheran Center for Faith, Values, and Community<\/strong>\"Lutheran<\/h3>\n

Established in 2019, St. Olaf College\u2019s Lutheran Center for Faith, Values and Community encourages the interreligious exploration of faith, values and vocation and provides opportunities for students, faculty, staff, and alumni to connect with each other around questions of belief, meaning, purpose and life choices. The Lutheran Center also provides programming and guidance to Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) congregations, as well as other denominations, faiths and higher education institutions.<\/p>\n

St. Olaf encourages the exploration of faith, values and personal fulfillment. While the college is grounded in its Lutheran tradition, students and faculty participate in many different faiths, or none at all. St. Olaf respects others\u2019 beliefs and allows for the exploration of religion and faith in all cultures both in and out of the classroom.<\/p>\n

While nearly a quarter of the student body is Lutheran, St. Olaf is home to more than 20 different student religious organizations and offers courses examining a wide array of religious traditions, including Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, and Buddhism. The Center, like the College as a whole, aims to serve all members and friends of the St. Olaf community, whatever their core commitments may be.<\/p>\n
