St. Olaf College is one of the nation’s leading liberal arts colleges, offering a distinctive education grounded in academic rigor, residential learning, global engagement and a vibrant Lutheran faith tradition. At the heart of this faith tradition is the St. Olaf College Student Congregation, a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. While the College Ministry Team is involved with every aspect of the student congregation, the College Ministry Office is also the hub of all religious life at St. Olaf College. It is an honor and pleasure for our College Ministry Team to serve as advocates and supporters of the study and practice of religion for all students, faculty and staff.
There are many religious student organizations at St. Olaf College. If you are interested in the study or practice of religion, you will surely find many opportunities on and off campus to learn and grow in your faith. While most student groups are organized around a single religion (e.g. The Jewish Student Organization and the Muslim Student Association), there are opportunities to come together to experience interfaith activities. The Interfaith Coalition for Peace and Justice is an organization that seeks to foster respect for people’s diverse religious identities and build relationships between people by learning and serving together.
