\n Pi Kappa Lambda is an honor society recognizing outstanding accomplishment in music. The Beta Delta chapter was founded at St. Olaf College in April 1964. Music faculty, and junior and senior students majoring in music are eligible for membership. \n The St. Olaf student chapter of the American Choral Directors Association is part of a national organization that works to connect music educators, choral directors, composers, and other choral music enthusiasts via conferences, topic meetings, workshops and masterclasses, as well as social events. With a student membership, future directors and educators can explore the benefits and resources of membership to a professional choral organization while still in college. Hill Harmonics A capella<\/h5>\n

We are an SATB a capella group that arranges most of our own music in a variety of genres. We put on a concert each semester with a multitude of other appearances on campus throughout the year.<\/p>\n

Rehearsals:\u00a0 <\/strong>We rehearse two times a week(this semester its Sundays and Thursdays) mainly in HOM 111, but wherever there’s space.

Ole Marching Band<\/h5>\n

We seek to provide an opportunity for St. Olaf students to explore their passions for marching band and the marching arts. Regardless of prior experience, we aim to build skills in musicianship and marching technique, as well as foster a tight-knit community that is often associated with marching band programs.<\/p>\n

Rehearsals:\u00a0 <\/strong>Saturdays 10-11 AM in the band room (CHM 138)
\nPerformances:\u00a0 <\/strong>We intend to have a showcase every semester, in addition to other various opportunities as they arise (such as playing for the Broken Bat softball game, and maybe the Defeat of Jesse James Days parade!)<\/p>\n
