Anna Clift is a member of the music faculty at St. Olaf College, she teaches cello lessons and coaches and organizes the chamber music program. Ms. Clift is also founder and executive director of the International Cello Institute, where she collaborates with teachers and students from around the world. Passionate about educating young musicians, she mentors young cellists worldwide and has taught and performed at colleges, universities and summer programs across the United States.

Having extensive orchestral experience, she has played as an extra player with the Minnesota Orchestra since 1989. An avid chamber musician, she is a former member of the Artaria String Quartet and the Artemis Piano Trio and has been a guest performer with the Cavani String Quartet, the Isles Ensemble and the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra.

Ms. Clift has taught as interim faculty at Marshall University, Augsburg University and Carleton College, and often serves as a juror for competitions around the United States; including the Seattle Young Artists Festival, the Schubert Club Competition, and the Fischoff Competition. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Indiana University where she studied with Janos Starker, her Masters in Music degree is from Stonybrook University where she was a student of Bernard Greenhouse and Timothy Eddy.
