In a campus community of 3,000 students, one-third of students participate in one of our many music ensembles or take private lessons. All students regardless of major are able to apply for and be awarded music scholarships. We strongly recommend students intending to major in music to apply for direct admission to the music program through this process. The Music Application is due at the time of your Common Application (Early Decision 1 &amp; Early Action: November 1, Early Decision 2 &amp; Regular Decision: January 15) for both scholarship and music major applicants.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Music Application for Music Majors and\/or Music Scholarships<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">The Music Application consists of four parts: the online music application, uploaded music resum\u00e9, a teacher recommendation, and the live on-campus audition.\u00a0<em>Note: within the application you will see a media portfolio. This is a placeholder for students who are unable to attend the live audition dates and need to upload videos after the November 1 or January 15 application deadlines. If you are planning on attending the live audition, you should leave this section blank.<\/em><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">We recommend you complete the Music Recommendation Request for your teacher right away. The request goes out immediately and will give your teacher time to write and submit the recommendation while you prepare other parts of the music application.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">After you begin the online music application, you may save\/exit as may times as you wish before submitting the application.
