Students intending to major in nursing at the time of their application to St. Olaf College may be considered for direct admission to the nursing major as a first-year student. Direct admission as a first-year student is limited, competitive, and conditional. Students seeking direct admission to the nursing major must complete an additional application to the major at the same time they submit an application to St. Olaf College.
To receive login credentials to access the nursing application:
- Students will need to submit a Part One or a Common Application
- You will receive login credentials to access the nursing application
- Applications for the nursing major will be reviewed at the same time as your application for admission to St. Olaf College
Here is the link for the Direct Admission Login page once you receive your credentials to sign in: Direct Admission Login Link
Finalists for direct admission to the nursing major will be contacted directly by the Nursing Department to schedule an interview.
Students who did not apply or who were not selected for first-year direct admission may apply for admission to the nursing major during the first semester of their sophomore year at St. Olaf College. For more information about this process and the requirements needed to apply during your sophomore year, please see the Application to the Nursing Major tab.
Students needing accommodations who have a documented disability for which accommodations have been provided by Disability and Access (DAC), service of Center for Academic Advising and Support (CAAS), should contact the Department of Nursing. Accommodations will only be provided after a letter from DAC is submitted to the Department of Nursing chair with sufficient lead-time to arrange accommodations.
