Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI) Chi-At-Large Chapter

Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI) is the honor society of nursing with chapters located all over the world. The mission of the organization is to improve the health of the world’s people. Chi-at-Large is the local chapter formed by Bethel University, Gustavus Adolphus College, St. Catherine University, and St. Olaf College.

There are two ways to become a member of STTI. First, graduating students are invited to membership in the fall semester of their senior year. Students must have a minimum GPA of 3.0, rank in the upper one-third of their nursing class, and receive at least two nominations by nursing faculty.

The second way to become a member is available to practicing nurses. Practicing nurses who exhibit leadership qualities and are recommended by a current STTI member are eligible to join the organization as a community member. Any current senior student, who is not invited to membership this fall, is encouraged to seek future membership as a community member. More information may be obtained from the nursing department chair.

The St. Olaf College Department of Nursing congratulates the Class of 2019 nursing students listed below for receiving an invitation to join STTI:

Genesis Fukunaga                     Erin Nemetz
Carlos Grosch Mendes             Amy Otteson
Nicole Hutchinson                   Zyreel Rigos
Annika Johannsen                    Miyako White

Selected students have earned an invitation because of their academic excellence and leadership potential.  We extend our best wishes to the newly inducted members and congratulate them on their achievement.
