Fall 2022-2023
\nO Joy, O Bliss, O Rapture!: An Evening with Gilbert and Sullivan\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

Our production planning is in progress and we welcome YOU to audition! We are looking for singers, actors (non-singing roles of W.S. Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan), instrumentalists, dancers, film and media artists and technicians, choreographers, set designers, conductors and stage directors. We will produce a fully staged, and costumed production of scenes from Gilbert and Sullivan operettas, including choreographed dance, solos, duets, small ensembles and full choruses.<\/p>\n

AUDITION DATES\/TIMES:
\n<\/strong>Thursday, September 15, 6:30-9:30 p.m. (CHM 233)<\/h6>\n

PREPARE IN ADVANCE:
\n<\/strong>1) One song or aria in English 2\u00bd to 3 minutes in length that can be from music theater, artsong, or opera.
\n2) One monologue (does NOT need to be memorized) from the Gilbert and Sullivan excerpts<\/a>.<\/p>\n

TECH\/PIT\/PRODUCTION CREW:
\n<\/strong>Contact us by email if you would like to be involved in ANY of the following: technical crew, artistic\/scenic design, pit orchestra, director, conductor, film and media production.\u00a0 State your interest, and we will be in touch with you ASAP!<\/p>\n

PERFORMANCE:<\/strong>
\nDecember 10, 8:00 p.m., Urness Recital Hall
\nDress\/tech rehearsals:<\/strong> December 9, 7:00-10:30 p.m. and<\/em><\/strong> December 10, 4:00-6:00 p.m.<\/h6>\n

REHEARSALS –\u00a0<\/strong>You will be asked to provide us with your availability for the following rehearsal times:
\nSunday afternoons 3:00-5:00 p.m.
\nTuesdays at 11:45 a.m.-1:10 p.m.
\nThursdays 12:40-2:05 p.m.
\nWe will work with your schedule as much as possible.
\nPit orchestra rehearsals will be scheduled around players’ availability as a group.<\/p>\n
