Parking Permit Application/Registration Form

Prior to submitting an application for a parking permit, take time to review the St. Olaf College Parking Policy, which can be located HERE. When you submit an application, you are agreeing that you have read and understand the parking policy.

If you have any questions about the parking policy or enforcement, contact the Department of Public Safety via email (publicsafety@stolaf.edu) or phone (507-786-3666).

Enter your information on the online registration form. Submission of the application does not mean that your permit request has been approved. Once your application has been reviewed, you will be notified by email and be provided with the link to purchase your permit. Once your payment has been received you will be notified with instructions on how to obtain your physical permit sticker.

Please do not use spaces or dashes (-) when entering your license plate number.

If you do not have your license plate number yet (new vehicles) please enter your @stolaf.edu email address in the license plate number field.
- Email parking@stolaf.edu when you receive your new plates and we will update your vehicle information in the system.

Please note that parking permit fees for the academic year will not be refunded if your permit is revoked.

Please note that parking permit fees for the academic year will not be refunded.

Students who have a vehicle and will be staying on campus to study or work for the summer (Memorial Day through August 31) will need to obtain a Summer Parking Permit. The cost of the permit for the summer is $35.00. This covers both Summer Session I and Summer Session II. Students may apply for summer permits after May 15th.

As during the academic year, the parking policy is still in effect, and there are two types of summer permits for students—one for those living on campus, and another for those living off campus.

On-campus permits are to park in Lot B (near Rand Hall).

Off-campus permits can park in either of the three commuter lots—Lot H (near Generator Shed/Thompson House), Lot C (near Mohn Hall) or the West row of Lot B (between commuter parking signs only). Signs are posted labeling EACH of the areas as Commuter Parking.

Due to the various conferences and events that will be held on campus throughout the summer, it is extremely important that students park where their permit allows, and not take up faculty/staff/visitor spaces that will be needed by others.
