Peer Advisors

Peer Advisors are welcoming, friendly, and excited to meet with you.  You do not need an appointment and are invited to drop-in anytime during our open hours, which are as follows:

  • Monday: 8-5pm
  • Tuesday: 8-5pm & 7-9pm
  • Wednesday: 8-5pm & 7-9pm
  • Thursday: 8-5pm
  • Friday: 8-5pm

Peer Advisors are usually your first point of contact with the Piper Center.  In most cases, we suggest that you meet with a Peer Advisor before a coach as they are able to get your started.  They are able to help with many of your general questions regarding internships, job searches, resumes, cover letters, Piper Center events, etc.   Even if you are unsure about what you would like to discuss, swing by the Piper Center and we’ll take it from there.

Career Coaches

You are able to schedule an appointment with a career coach directly through Handshake.  For a tutorial on how to login to Handshake and set up an appointment, please click HERE.  Please note that you’ll need to request your appointment at least 24 hours before your requested appointment time. For urgent needs, please email the career coach directly, call the Piper Center, or stop by in person to inquire about setting up an appointment.  Drop-in hours may also be a quick way to meet with a coach.

Drop-in to the Piper Center to meet with an available career coach during the following times:

  • Monday: 3-5pm
  • Tuesday: 3-5 & 7-9pm
  • Wednesday: 3-5 & 7-9pm
  • Thursday: 3-5pm
  • Friday: 3-5pm

Drop-in hours are generally intended for shorter conversations (10-15 minutes) or to help you get started.  Students are seen on a first-come, first-serve basis so there may be a short wait.
