St. Olaf College does not offer resume books (a collection of student resumes). Employers must post a position and solicit resumes through their posting.
Offer Deadline Guidelines for On-Campus Recruiting
The Piper Center staff believe that the best employment decisions for both students and employers are those that are made without pressure and with the greatest amount of information. To best align with our peer institutions and to provide a common understanding for recruiters and students, we recommend the following guidelines:
- Students returning with a full time offer from a summer internship should have until at least October 15th to accept their full time offer. Students should not be penalized for waiting until the deadline to accept the offer.
- Student receiving an internship or full time offer through on-campus recruiting should have a minimum of three weeks form offer receipt to deadline. Students should not be penalized for waiting until the deadline to accept.
Marijuana/Cannabis Industry
The Piper Center for Vocation and Career, as a representative of St. Olaf College, will not partner with businesses directly or indirectly engaged in the production, distribution or use of recreational or medicinal marijuana. In light of current Minnesota and federal laws relating to recreational and medicinal use of marijuana, and St. Olaf’s status as a recipient of state and federal funding, the Piper Center will not collaborate with individuals or entities engaged in business activities connected with medicinal or recreational marijuana.
