members will build Farm to School supply chains, expand food system and nutrition education programs, and build and tend school food gardens<br \/>\n\u2014 10 states<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.habitat.org\/volunteer\/long-term-opportunities\/americorps\"><br \/>\nHabitat for Humanity<\/a><br \/>\nAmeriCorps members are given the opportunity to do direct or indirect service in order to build affiliate capacity, engage communities, increase and lead volunteers and build and renovate homes in partnership with low-income families in need of safe and decent housing<br \/>\n\u2014 over 100 communities in 26 states<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.healthcorps.org\/\"><br \/>\nHealth Corps\u00a0<\/a><br \/>\nA national service and peer mentoring initiative where HealthCorps coordinators empower teens in underserved populations to make simple lifestyle changes to enhance their well-being and resilience<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.lisc.org\/our-initiatives\/community-leadership\/lisc-americorps\/\"><br \/>\nLISC (Local Initiatives Support Corporation) AmeriCorps<\/a><br \/>\nHelping to develop affordable housing, provide home ownership counseling to prospective first-time low-income homebuyers, and participate in community building activities within neighborhoods<br \/>\n\u2014 15 sites in 12 states<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ladeltacorps.org\/\">Louisiana Delta Service Corps\u00a0<\/a><br \/>\nAmeriCorps members perform vital services in neighborhoods and communities in the areas of education, health, and housing needs<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nationalhealthcorps.org\/\"><br \/>\nNational Health Corps<\/a><br \/>\nHelping to fulfill unmet healthcare needs and to decrease disparities in the local healthcare system<br \/>\n\u2014 Atlanta, GA; Chicago, IL; Philadelphia, PA; Pittsburgh, PA; and North Florida<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ndmva.org\/\">Notre Dame Mission Volunteers \u2013 AmeriCorps\u00a0<\/a><br \/>\nPlaces volunteers in educational programs for at-risk children and adults in economically disadvantaged communities<br \/>\n\u2014 17 sites in 14 states<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.playworks.org\/jobs\/school-openings\">PlayWorks\u00a0<\/a><br \/>\nSeeks to improve the health and well-being of children by increasing opportunities for physical activity and safe, meaningful play<br \/>\n\u2014 Detroit, MI; Newark, NJ; San Francisco, CA; Silicon Valley, CA; St. Paul, MN, and Washington, D.C.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.publicallies.org\/\"><br \/>\nPublic Allies<\/a><br \/>\nSeeks to advance new leadership to strengthen communities, nonprofits and civic participation;
