They spend many hours <a href=\"https:\/\/wp.stolaf.edu\/pipercenter\/how-to-guides\/interview-guide\/preparation\/\">preparing<\/a>\u00a0and several hours practicing answers to questions they might be asked.<\/p>\n<p>If you want to interview well, you will need to practice, too.<\/p>\n<p>How do you practice for an interview?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Review the job description, your resume and your cover letter<\/li>\n<li>Write down a list of questions that you believe the interviewer will ask<\/li>\n<li>Look at <a href=\"https:\/\/wp.stolaf.edu\/pipercenter\/how-to-guides\/interview-guide\/questions\/\">questions that interviewers typically ask<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Practice answering the questions <strong>aloud<\/strong> \u2014 so that you hear how your voice sounds<\/li>\n<li>Practice the answers until you find one that feels right to you<\/li>\n<li>Aim for answers that are no more than 30-45 seconds long.
