The purpose of the review was to \u201cassure\u201d the Higher Learning Commission, the college\u2019s constituencies, and the general public that St. Olaf continues to meet the Commission\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/policy.hlcommission.org\/Policies\/criteria-for-accreditation.html\">Criteria for Accreditation<\/a>. The college submitted its accreditation narrative and supporting evidence to the HLC in Fall 2016.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left; padding-left: 30px;\"><a alt=\"St. Olaf Assurance Argument - November 2016\" class=\"groups-file-access\" href=\"https:\/\/wp.stolaf.edu\/president?gfid=9\" title=\"St. Olaf Assurance Argument - November 2016\" >St. Olaf Assurance Argument - November 2016<\/a><\/p>\n<p>A team of higher education professionals appointed by the HLC conducted a peer review of these materials and determined that St. Olaf continues to meet the HLC\u2019s accreditation criteria.\u00a0 The Higher Learning Commission accepted the peer review team\u2019s report; no follow-up reports or other corrective institutional actions are required prior to the college\u2019s next Comprehensive Evaluation for reaffirmation of accreditation in 2022-23.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><a alt=\"Peer Review Team Report - December 2016\" class=\"groups-file-access\" href=\"https:\/\/wp.stolaf.edu\/president?gfid=10\" title=\"Peer Review Team Report - December 2016\" >Peer Review Team Report - December 2016<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<p><!-- begin-migrated-from-panel-builder --><!-- end-migrated-from-panel-builder --><\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>St. Olaf\u2019s most recent accreditation review was its mid-cycle \u201cAssurance Review\u201d during the 2016-17 academic year, which constituted Year 4 of the college\u2019s ten-year accreditation cycle.
