{"id":22,"date":"2013-10-31T11:57:31","date_gmt":"2013-10-31T16:57:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wp.stolaf.edu\/provost\/?page_id=22"},"modified":"2025-09-09T16:45:28","modified_gmt":"2025-09-09T21:45:28","slug":"academic-leadership-team","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/wp.stolaf.edu\/provost\/academic-leadership-team\/","title":{"rendered":"The Academic Leadership Team"},"content":{"rendered":"<div data-modular-content-collection><p>Academic Leadership is composed of <a href=\"https:\/\/wp.stolaf.edu\/provost\/ad-chairs-directors\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">department chairs and program directors<\/a>; <a href=\"https:\/\/wp.stolaf.edu\/committees\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">chairs of elected committees<\/a>; <a href=\"https:\/\/wp.stolaf.edu\/provost\/academic-offices-and-services\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">directors of other academic offices<\/a> and units such as the libraries and IT, Academic Success Center and TRIO programs, GFCR, the Smith Center for Global Engagement, and the office of the <a href=\"https:\/\/wp.stolaf.edu\/registrar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Registrar<\/a>; the <a href=\"https:\/\/wp.stolaf.edu\/provost\/deans-council\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Associate Deans of the five Faculties<\/a>, the Associate Dean for the First Year Experience and Second Year Thriving, the Special Assistant to the Provost, and the Associate Provost. This is a big group, and its interests and duties are equally expansive. But its membership has some common goals: delivering the best education we can to St. Olaf students, and supporting the faculty in their role as teachers.<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of Academic Leadership meetings is to support these goals. This takes place in a variety of ways, and no two meetings are alike.
