{"id":827,"date":"2014-03-27T09:45:17","date_gmt":"2014-03-27T14:45:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wp.stolaf.edu\/provost\/?page_id=827"},"modified":"2025-06-30T16:19:44","modified_gmt":"2025-06-30T21:19:44","slug":"technology-and-research-support","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/wp.stolaf.edu\/provost\/technology-and-research-support\/","title":{"rendered":"Technology and Research Support"},"content":{"rendered":"<div data-modular-content-collection><p>The\u00a0<a title=\"Center for Innovation in the Liberal Arts (CILA)\" href=\"https:\/\/wp.stolaf.edu\/cila\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Center for Innovation in the Liberal Arts (CILA)<\/a>\u00a0provides opportunities to learn about and discuss teaching and learning in higher education.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/wp.stolaf.edu\/cir\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/wp.stolaf.edu\/cir\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1661876582107000&amp;usg=AOvVaw2dLuLgGhqkO_jnbVyRl4og\">Center for Interdisciplinary Research (CIR)<\/a>\u00a0provides academic year support for faculty conducting data-based research or mentoring data-intensive student projects, through drop-in office hours and dedicated collaborations.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/wp.stolaf.edu\/curi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Collaborative Undergraduate Research and Inquiry (CURI)<\/a> program provides opportunities for faculty to collaborate with enthusiastic and high-quality undergraduate students on research projects during the summer and the academic year.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wp.stolaf.edu\/it\/itech\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Research and Instructional Technology<\/a> promotes new technology, develops training opportunities, and provides technology consulting services to faculty and staff, including the <a href=\"https:\/\/wp.stolaf.edu\/disco\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Digital Scholarship center at St. Olaf (DiSCO)<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wp.stolaf.edu\/library\/for-faculty\/\">Faculty Research Support<\/a> is available through St. Olaf Libraries. Each department has a liaison librarian who assists faculty with research instruction, assignment design, preparing new courses, and boosting library resources when needed.<\/p>\n<p>The library\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/wp.stolaf.edu\/library\/\">Bridge<sup>2<\/sup><\/a>\u00a0supplies a robust selection of search tools and other resources.<\/p>\n<p>Seminars, workshops and events, including those linked to the Boldt chair and the Lutheran Center, the Institute for Freedom and Community, and the Taylor Center, are also offered.<\/p>\n<p><!-- begin-migrated-from-panel-builder --><!-- end-migrated-from-panel-builder --><\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The\u00a0Center for Innovation in the Liberal Arts (CILA)\u00a0provides opportunities to learn about and discuss teaching and learning in higher education.
