The wait lists for Psychology Department classes are managed online. The wait list for a given semester is closed, and will only open once registration has closed and the results been posted. If you do not get into a Psychology course that you would like to take, the procedures are as follows:
1) Please do NOT contact the individual professor. Professors will only refer you to these procedures. No wait list considerations are made until after registration closes.
2) AFTER registration has posted, you may put yourself on a wait list for a psychology course by filling out THIS brief Google form. Make sure to include information about why you need that particular course. You will have a set number of days (specified in the form itself as it varies by semester) to put in your information, after which date faculty will make decisions about who gets into the course. If you are selected for a spot from the wait list, you will receive an email with further instructions. Once the wait list process is completed for a particular course, students who did not get in will also receive an email as to their status.
Please note that no wait list information will be taken until AFTER registration results are posted! No one is in (or out of) a class until registration results have posted. Be sure to check your schedule carefully after results have been posted – seats can and do change up until the end. You may not put yourself on the wait list in lieu of listing a class as your first choice.
