Through scientific exploration and application, psychology asks fascinating questions, expands our understanding, and seeks to improve people\u2019s lives. At St. Olaf, Psychology offers something for any student who is interested in understanding human nature. We challenge students to think critically and creatively about the full breadth of psychology, including neurological and cognitive processes, development of children and families, personality, psychological disorders, social interactions, cultural factors, clinical practice, and other applications of psychology. The Psychology Department embraces the diversity of people, topics and methods within our field, and we seek to encourage breadth of knowledge as well as in-depth study in a supportive, inclusive
