The trip focuses on building confidence, communication, and sound decision-making while emphasizing safe and responsible outdoor practices. In addition to climbing, participants will have time to hike, relax, and enjoy the natural surroundings. This policy only applies to trips organized by Ole Expeditions for which pre-registration is required, as noted within the registration form.<br \/>\n<br \/>\n<h3 class=\"policy-header\">Trip Cancellation by Ole Expeditions<\/h3><br \/>\nThe Recreation department reserves the right to cancel an event due to low enrollment or other circumstances which would make the event non-viable. If the Recreation department postpones an event, registrants will be promptly notified, and an alternative date will be shared. If Recreation cancels an event, registrants will be promptly notified, and if participants pay a registration fee, a full refund will be issued. <br \/>\n<br \/>\n<h3 class=\"policy-header\">Registration Cancellation by the Participant<\/h3><br \/>\nUnless expressly stated on the event registration form, the deadline to notify the Assistant Director of Recreation that you can no longer attend an event is ten (10) business days prior. Cancellations received after the stated deadline will:<br \/>\n<ul> <br \/>\n<li class=\"policy-list-item\">If no participation fee has been paid, a charge will be incurred to the student\u2019s account for the amount invested in materials\/meals for the presumed attendee.<\/li><br \/>\n<li class=\"policy-list-item\">If a participation fee has been paid, the student will not be eligible for a refund unless a participant on the waitlist is able to take their spot on the trip. If that happens, 50% of the participation fee will be refunded back to the initial participant.<\/li><br \/>\n<li class=\"policy-list-item\">Cancellations made from the Monday of the Pre-Trip meeting through the day of the trip, are not eligible for a refund of any sort.<\/li><br \/>\n<\/ul><br \/>\nAdditionally, the above applies to those who choose not to attend an applicable event without advanced communication. Notification of cancellations will be accepted by email (<a href=\"mailto:herfin3@stolaf.edu\">herfin3@stolaf.edu<\/a>) and must be received by the stated cancellation deadline.
