The concentration in Africa and the African Diaspora affords students the opportunity to grapple with such questions as &#8212; to what extent the iconography of Africa used to mobilize Africans in the Diaspora, and how the consciousness of Africa sustained and fostered in the New World, as well as the contributions of Africans in dispersion and relations with Africa.
