Designed to be intentionally flexible, students take a selection of five courses across the college during their four years including introductory and capstone courses. Students practice communicating public health&#8217;s social, humanistic, and biological complexities across cultural, political, and disciplinary boundaries while developing methodological skills for interpreting and contextualizing public health across diverse populations and their unique circumstances domestically and globally. Completing the public health concentration adds perspective to a wide variety of majors. It promotes a lifetime of informed civic engagement relevant to a field that addresses some of the most pressing problems of our time. Students interested in a public health studies concentration are strongly encouraged to register for PHS 150 Introduction to Public Health in the fall or spring of their first
