{"id":7896,"date":"2017-10-17T10:13:47","date_gmt":"2017-10-17T15:13:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wp.stolaf.edu\/registrar\/?page_id=7896"},"modified":"2025-11-06T13:48:31","modified_gmt":"2025-11-06T19:48:31","slug":"off-campus-interim-proposal-instructions","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/wp.stolaf.edu\/registrar\/off-campus-interim-proposal-instructions\/","title":{"rendered":"Instructions for Submitting a Proposal to Repeat an Off-Campus January Term"},"content":{"rendered":"<div data-modular-content-collection><p>The proposal portal can be found here: <a href=\"https:\/\/nextcatalog.stolaf.edu\/courseadmin\/\">https:\/\/nextcatalog.stolaf.edu\/courseadmin\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Please follow these steps in completing your proposal to repeat an existing off-campus January Term:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If the program asks you to log in, please do so with your St. Olaf user name and password. After logging in, enter the appropriate department\/program code in the box next to the green \u201cSearch\u201d button (for example: ARTS, ECON, or MATH).<\/li>\n<li>Select the course you wish to offer from the list that is returned from your search, then click the \u201cEdit Course\u201d button on the right-hand side of the screen.<\/li>\n<li>Enter your name, email, and phone extension at the top of the form; select the next year and term the course will be offered.<\/li>\n<li>For \u201cCourse Location,\u201d the field should already be pre-populated with \u201cDomestic\u201d or \u201cInternational.\u201d You will need to enter or update responses to the prompts that follow.<\/li>\n<li>Please upload the following documents where indicated:\n<ul>\n<li>Your rationale for conducting this course off-campus as a study away\/abroad course.<\/li>\n<li>A copy of your anticipated itinerary.<\/li>\n<li>A copy of the preliminary budget you have developed in consultation with The Smith Center.<\/li>\n<li>A copy of the syllabus from the last time the course was offered.
