Veteran’s Benefits (V.A.) Information<\/b><\/p>\n

The St. Olaf College Registrar\u2019s Office is the campus liaison with the Veterans’ Administration. \u00a0Alyssa Ness<\/a><\/span> is the school certifying official.\u00a0 Alyssa works with V.A. forms related to eligibility and certification of enrollment for benefits and also works closely with our Financial Aid Office.<\/span><\/p>\n

To begin the process, V.A. benefit eligible students should submit a certificate of eligibility to the Registrar\u2019s Office.<\/span><\/p>\n

Please note:\u00a0 The Veterans Benefits and Transition Act of 2018 added a provision to 38 USC 3679 that requires schools to allow eligible beneficiaries to attend class without penalties while awaiting payments from the VA.<\/span><\/p>\n

St. Olaf College participates in the Yellow Ribbon program. The Veteran’s Administration (V.A.) will pay St. Olaf College through the Post 9\/11 GI Bill\u00ae for tuition and fee charges after any grants and\/or scholarships have been subtracted.\u00a0 Once that amount has been disbursed by the V.A., any remaining tuition and fee charges for that term or subsequent terms are then eligible for the Yellow Ribbon Program. St. Olaf has committed to pay 50% of that remaining Yellow Ribbon eligible tuition and fee charges which is then matched by the V.A.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
