individual has no prior experience in French; higher coursework can be taken if prerequisites are met or if the student tests into a more advanced couse. All students with previous experience in French must take the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stolaf.edu\/placement\/french\/index.cfm?fuseaction=welcome\">placement test<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h6>CREDIT FOR PREVIOUS COURSEWORK<\/h6>\n<ul>\n<li>An AP score of 5 or IB score of HL-7 leads to placement in French 25X. AP score of 4 or IB score of HL-6 leads to placement in French 232.\u00a0 Questions about transfer of credit for AP (Advanced Placement), IB (International Baccalaureate), Cambridge A Levels, PSEO (Postsecondary Education Option) and CIS (College in the Schools) and more advanced courses should initially be directed to the Livi Yoshioka-Maxwell (<a href=\"mailto:yoshio1@stolaf.edu\">yoshio1@stolaf.edu<\/a>).
