continue their study of religion, some pursue degrees in other fields, others immediately seek employment or volunteer service.\u00a0 Our graduates carry their understanding of religion into their work in education, religious communities, medicine, law, and other arenas.\u00a0 They are active in their communities.<\/p>\n<p>In 2011 we participated in a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.aarweb.org\/outcomes-survey\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">survey of religion majors<\/a>\u00a0carried out by the American Academy of Religion with support from the Teagle Foundation.\u00a0 \u00a0Half of the graduates from the classes of 2000-2011 responded.\u00a0 Of those 149 Oles about 40% had or were enrolled in a graduate program in religion and a similar number had or were enrolled in a program in another field.\u00a0 The most common degree program was the Master of Divinity.\u00a0 Half a dozen of these recent graduates were enrolled in Ph.D. programs in religion.\u00a0 A dozen pursued a J.D. and half a dozen each M.D. or a Ph.D. in another field.\u00a0 They reported employment in religious organizations, the non-profit sector, medicine and health care, education, the arts, government, business, and a few other arenas.\u00a0 Just over 90% had participated in a volunteer activity or community service in the previous year.<\/p>\n\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"c-stat\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"c-stat__number u-fc-teal\" data-depth=\"0\" data-name=\"statistic\" data-livetext=\"true\" data-index=\"0\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t40%\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"c-stat__desc\" data-depth=\"0\" data-name=\"description\" data-livetext=\"true\" data-index=\"0\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\thad or were enrolled in a graduate program in religion\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"c-stat\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"c-stat__number u-fc-grey-dark\" data-depth=\"0\" data-name=\"statistic\" data-livetext=\"true\" data-index=\"1\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\tMaster of Divinity\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"c-stat__desc\" data-depth=\"0\" data-name=\"description\" data-livetext=\"true\" data-index=\"1\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\twas the most common degree
