&amp; Parking Guidelines<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Driveway parking is available at each house for resident and guest use, subject to strict compliance with the following regulations. All residents&#8217; ability to park in the houses\u2019 designated driveway is not guaranteed. On-campus parking is available for all residents who display the appropriate St. Olaf Parking Permit.\u00a0 All students must formally apply for and receive a parking permit through Public Safety. Unauthorized or non-compliant vehicles are subject to immediate citation, fines, or towing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Required Permit Requirements:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Residents: Every resident with a vehicle must obtain a Commuter Parking Permit via Public Safety. Operating a vehicle without a valid permit is a violation of campus policy.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Non-Ole Loop Community Residents: Student at St. Olaf who are not assigned to a Ole Loop Community house must park their cars in the parking lot designated for their assigned parking permit.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Guests: All visitors must be formally registered as an Approved Overnight Guest to qualify for an Overnight Guest Permit. Unregistered guest vehicles will be penalized.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Authorized Parking Locations:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">House Driveways: Permitted <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">only<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> if the vehicle remains entirely on the paved surface.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">St. Olaf Parking Lots: Permitted <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">exclusively<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in the specific lots authorized by your assigned permit.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">City Streets: Permitted only where explicit city signage allows, subject to seasonal restrictions.<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In accordance with Northfield City Ordinance, street parking is absolutely prohibited from November 15 through March 15 between the hours of 2:00 AM and 6:00 AM. Violators will be ticketed and towed by the city.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lawn &amp; Grass Protection Policy<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Driving or parking on the grass at the Ole Loop Houses is strictly prohibited. <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This regulation strictly enforces Northfield City Ordinances to prevent property damage and eliminate unnecessary lawn maintenance expenditures. <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Violations will result in disciplinary action and damage fees.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mandatory Driveway Clearance &amp; Inclement Weather Policy:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When inclement weather or maintenance requires driveways to be cleared, compliance with relocation timelines is mandatory.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mandatory Relocation: Residents must immediately relocate vehicles to the designated parking lots specified in official College communications. This must be completed within the stated timeframe.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Immediate Towing: Any vehicle remaining in a driveway during a clearance window will be towed immediately at the owner&#8217;s expense.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Return Authorization: Vehicles may only return to the driveways <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">after<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> clearing operations are completely finished and explicit approval is issued by the College.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All residents should familiarize themselves with Northfield Street Parking Ordinances before living in the Ole Loop
