This is a great way to get the word out about your event or service without posting paper flyers.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Tightrope posting guidelines<\/strong><\/h5>\n<ol>\n<li>Event advertisements need to be listed in <a href=\"https:\/\/wp.stolaf.edu\/sa\/orgs\/presence\/\">Presence<\/a> before they will be made live on Tightrope.<\/li>\n<li>Announcements will only be posted within two weeks of the event and only one posting is allowed per each event.<\/li>\n<li>Only St. Olaf community members may post on Tightrope about campus-specific initiatives or events.<\/li>\n<li>No inappropriate language or images will be approved. Verbose messages or grammatical errors will be returned for revision.<\/li>\n<li>All postings must be in accordance with College policy.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h5><strong>Requesting a Tightrope account<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>To request an account on Tightrope, send an email <a href=\"mailto:tightrope@stolaf.edu\">tightrope@stolaf.edu<\/a>. Your regular St. Olaf account does not work with Tightrope. When designing, printing, and posting fliers around campus, there are a few things to keep in mind.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Poster considerations<\/strong><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>Is your design clear? Is your text legible? Is there a good color contrast? Is your poster too crowded or busy?<\/li>\n<li>Do you have the sponsoring organization on your poster?<\/li>\n<li>Do you have the date, time, and location on your poster?<\/li>\n<li>Are printed posters the best option? Would digital marketing be more effective?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5><strong>Review the posting guidelines<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>Most campus buildings have public posting boards. Posters should not be hung on office or departmental bulletin boards without first obtaining permission. To post the maximum number of posters, organizations should print <strong>20 posters<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>A full set of posting guidelines can be found online.
